“She is wearing white jeans, a white hoodie and a gray backpack,” the girl’s mother wrote on Facebook. “Help us find her,” she pleaded.

The two were seen on security camera at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, just minutes after Lula left school, and entered the building where she lives, according to a statement from the Paris police prosecutor.
Around five in the evening, the woman left the building alone with heavy luggage. Three hours later, Lula’s father sounded the alarm to alert officers to Lula’s disappearance, the statement added.
Shortly after 11 p.m., Lula’s body was found in a plastic wheeled bin, abandoned in the public areas outside the family building, where Lula’s father works as a doorman, according to the statement.
On Monday, the French authorities opened an official judicial investigation into the case on charges of “murder of a minor under the age of 15, accompanied by rape of a minor, torture or atrocities; rape of a minor by torture or atrocities; and concealment of a corpse.”
An autopsy revealed that Lula had died of heart and respiratory failure with signs of suffocation and cervical compression, according to the statement. The police statement said that she had several other injuries, “particularly to her face and back, with major wounds to her neck, which did not play a role in her death according to the coroner’s conclusions regarding the cause of her death.” The police prosecutor said there were no signs of sexual trauma injuries, and zero and one were written in red under the young victim’s feet.
Police detained the main suspect in the case, an unnamed 24-year-old woman, just before 8 a.m., the day after Lula’s murder, in the northwestern suburbs of Paris, according to Paris police prosecutors.

During the interrogation, “the woman’s account deviated between recognizing and challenging the facts,” according to the police prosecutor’s statement, but she revealed that she had led Lola to her sister’s apartment, who lived in the same apartment building. The statement said she is currently under an official investigation in connection with Lula’s death.
There, according to the statement, she said that she forced the girl to take a shower before she “perpetrated sexual assaults and other acts of violence on her that led to her death,” before hiding the girl’s body in a plastic box.
Speaking to CNN affiliate BFMTV, Hafiza, one of Lola’s friends, said, “She doesn’t want to get into my mind. I tell myself, ‘No, I’ll see her later on break, but no.'”
Bamba, the mother of a friend of Lula’s who was sleeping in their house, also expressed her shock at what happened. She told BFMTV, “I can’t believe it, I tell myself it’s not possible, it could happen to anyone, even me.”
On Tuesday afternoon, flowers piled up outside the building where Lola lives, as locals paid tribute to a life that has brutally disappeared. The mayor of the 19th arrondissement said in a statement that local authorities in the 19th arrondissement of Paris where the murder took place have also opened a support center for local residents, especially school children, along with strengthening police patrols around schools.
Police also arrested a 43-year-old man, an acquaintance of the main suspect, who admitted to taking the 24-year-old woman with her bags and a plastic box to his home outside Paris and then arranging her return.
