The recently unveiled Galaxy S23 series has made a serious impact on visitors with its beautiful design and vertically aligned rear camera lenses. The event featured an exciting short film shot entirely by award-winning filmmaker Ridley Scott using the Galaxy S23 Ultra Samsung’s most amazing camera yet. The short film demonstrated the device’s superior camera capabilities, revealing that anyone can make an epic movie with videos shot from their daily lives.

Galaxy S23 Ultra’s new 200MP camera captures high-resolution images with a level of color and wide detail never before seen in a smartphone. Moreover, Expert RAW’s various professional features empower users to produce creative and cinematic movies with ease.

Shooting in low light can be challenging even for the most advanced filmmakers, resulting in shaky, unusable footage with lots of noise. In Galaxy Unpacked, Samsung announced a multi-frame processing solution for the Galaxy S23 series camera to overcome this challenge. This custom algorithm stitches multiple images across frames to reduce noise, enabling anyone to capture vivid, enhanced video, even in the dark. Also, the enhanced object-aware AI engine and stereo depth map enable the camera to capture clear photos with great detail, bringing night photos to life. Moreover, with night photography and an improved front camera, Galaxy S23 series users will be constantly asked to share their group photos and videos with friends.

Elevate your gaming experience with the Galaxy S23 series

The Galaxy S23 series has gotten a serious upgrade across the board, from its improved 5,000mAh battery and improved cooling system to next-level camera performance and a 41% GPU boost. The newly designed octa-core CPU boosts the Galaxy S23 series’ processing capabilities by around 34%, ideal for multitasking. The improved NPU architecture also uses an AI algorithm for an additional 49% increase, helping users to take stunning low-light photos.

New in Galaxy Unpacked 2023: Galaxy Book3 Ultra Powerful performance anytime, anywhere

After announcing the release of the Galaxy S23 series, visitors were excited to see what other new releases are on the horizon. In particular, visitors were amazed by the announcement of the Galaxy Book3 series and especially the Galaxy Book3 Ultra, which is an all-new addition to the Galaxy Book lineup.

Everyday Sustainability: Shaping a brighter future through technology

From 100% recycled paper packaging boxes to various exterior and interior parts made from recycled glass, plastic and aluminium, Samsung has expanded the use of eco-friendly materials in its devices, boosting its sustainability efforts.

Mark Newton of Corporate Sustainability at Samsung explained that Samsung aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 and by 2030 for its mobile experience business.

Shaping the future of connectivity through industry-leading collaboration

During the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 Partnership Announcement segment, Qualcomm President and CEO Cristiano Amon took to the stage for the first time, revealing that the Galaxy S23 series is powered by the world’s fastest and most efficient Snapdragon.® Until now.

Finally, Cristiano explained that the company aims to create a new era of highly immersive XR experiences that blur the lines between the physical and digital worlds.

Hiroshi Lockheimer, Google’s senior vice president responsible for platforms and ecosystem, highlighted the importance of the partnership, noting that the launch of Rich Communication Services (RCS) Messaging Standard and Wear OS, both of which have been close collaborations with Samsung. Going forward, Hiroshi explained how Google will also invest in groundbreaking XR technologies that will change the way we interact.

“An exciting space that Google has invested in for a long time across both experiences and technology is AR and VR,” said Hiroshi. “These technologies are an integral part of the new era of computing as they can change the way we interact with people and information to get things done in the real world.”

With a vision to enable a new generation of computing, Samsung, Google and Qualcomm will collaborate to develop advanced hardware and software to make this immersive technology a reality.
